DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING
REGARDING AMENDMENTS AND SUPPLEMENTS TO DECISION NO. 01/2003/QĐ-BGDĐT JANUARY 2, 2003 OF THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING ON THE ISSUANCE OF STANDARDS FOR SCHOOL LIBRARIES BASED ON GOVERNMENT DECREE NO. 86/2002/NĐ-CP OF NOVEMBER 5, 2002 ON THE FUNCTIONS, TASKS, POWERS, AND ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF MINISTRIES AND MINISTRY-EQUIVALENT BODIES;
MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING
AT THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF STUDENT AND GRADUATE AFFAIRS,
Pursuant to Decree No. 85/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Education and Training;
AMEND AND SUPPLEMENT CLAUSE 3, ARTICLE 15, CHAPTER VII: AWARDS FOR LIBRARIES AND THE RECOGNITION PROCEDURE AS FOLLOWS: "3. OUTSTANDING SCHOOL LIBRARY: THESE ARE LIBRARIES THAT HAVE ACHIEVED ADVANCED STATUS AND HAVE PERFORMED EXCEPTIONALLY OUTSTANDING ACTIVITIES WITH HIGH EFFECTIVENESS AND INNOVATION, RECOGNIZED BY THE SECTOR AND SOCIETY. THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING SHALL CONSIDER, INSPECT, AND ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OUTSTANDING SCHOOL LIBRARIES TO PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL LIBRARIES IN THE LOCALITY."
DECISION:
Article 1. THE HEADS OF THE OFFICES, THE HEADS OF THE UNITS UNDER THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING, AND THE DIRECTORS OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECISION./.
Article 2. This Decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. Any previous regulations contrary to this Decision are abolished.
Article 3. The Heads of the Office, the Heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Directors of Departments of Education and Training shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
