DECREE
Regarding the establishment of wards and communes under Tam Ky town; adjustment of administrative boundaries of Tam Ky town to establish Phu Nhinh district, Quang Nam province Quang Nam province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, we establish wards and communes under Tam Ky town and adjust the administrative boundaries of Tam Ky town to establish Phu Nhinh district, Quang Nam province as follows:
1. Establish Hoa Thuan ward under Tam Ky town based on 380 hectares of natural area and 2,612 population from Tam Dan commune, and 177.50 hectares of natural area and 3,169 population from Tan Thanh ward.
Hoa Thuan ward has 557.50 hectares of natural area and 5,781 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa Thuan ward: East borders Tan Thanh and An My wards; West borders Tam Dan commune; South borders Tam Thai and Truong Xuan wards; North borders Tam Dan and Tan Thanh wards.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Hoa Thuan ward:
Tam Dan commune remains with 1,570 hectares of natural area and 12,009 population.
Tan Thanh ward remains with 620.10 hectares of natural area and 10,331 population.
2. Establish Tam Dai commune under Tam Ky town based on 2,760.50 hectares of natural area and 6,149 population from Tam Thai commune.
Tam Dai commune has 2,760.50 hectares of natural area and 6,149 population.
Administrative boundary of Tam Dai commune: East borders Tam Ngoc and Nui Thanh districts; West borders Tam Dan commune; South borders Tam Lanh and Nui Thanh district; North borders Tam Thai commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Tam Dai commune, Tam Thai commune remains with 1,490.50 hectares of natural area and 8,024 population.
3. Establish Phu Nhinh district based on the entire natural area and population of Tam Lanh, Tam Thai, Tam Dan, Tam An, Tam Loc, Tam Vinh, Tam Thanh, Tam Phuoc, Tam Dai communes under Tam Ky town.
Phu Nhinh district has 25,147 hectares of natural area and 84,477 population, with 10 subordinate administrative units being Tam Lanh, Tam Thai, Tam Dan, Tam Dan, Tam An, Tam Loc, Tam Vinh, Tam Thanh, Tam Phuoc, Tam Dai communes.
Administrative boundary of Phu Nhinh district: East borders Tam Ky town and Nui Thanh district; West borders Tien Phuoc district; South borders Bac Tra My district; North borders Thang Binh district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Phu Nhinh district:
Tam Ky town remains with 9,202 hectares of natural area and 103,730 population, with 13 subordinate administrative units including Truong Xuan, An Son, Tan Thanh, An My, An Xuan, An Phu, Hoa Huong, Phuoc Hoa, Hoa Thuan wards and Tam Thang, Tam Thanh, Tam Phu, Tam Ngoc communes.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
