CIRCULAR
Guidelines for the re-export of round logs with legitimate sources of import from Cambodia

Based on Government Document No. 02/CP-KTTH dated January 13, 1998 regarding the import of Cambodian timber and Government Document No. 1455/CP-KTTH dated December 10, 1998 concerning the re-export of timber with legitimate sources of import from Cambodia;
The Ministry of Trade provides guidelines for the re-export of round logs with legitimate sources of import from Cambodia as follows:
I. General Provisions:
1.Enterprises holding a Business Registration Certificate for relevant goods categories, having registered their business code for import and export, if they have legally imported round logs from Cambodia, are entitled to apply for re-export according to the provisions of this Circular.
2. Round logs referred to in this Circular include all types of natural forest and plantation round logs with legitimate sources of import from Cambodia.
II. Documents for Re-Export Application:
1.In the case where the enterprise applying for re-export is also the enterprise that originally imported the round logs,:
A letter requesting re-export from the enterprise, specifying the quantity and type of wood being re-exported, the current location of the wood stockpile, and the anticipated customs checkpoint for re-export.
A copy of the Customs Declaration for imported goods already settled (accompanied by the original for the Ministry of Trade to verify and reconcile. The original will be returned to the enterprise).
A copy of the Business Registration Certificate and the Certificate of Registration for Import and Export Business Code.
An official document from the Forestry Inspection Station where the enterprise has stockpiled the wood confirming the quantity and type of wood with legitimate sources of import from Cambodia (bearing the Cambodian seal).
A re-export contract.
2.In the case where the enterprise applying for re-export is not the enterprise that originally imported the round logs,:
In addition to the documents listed above at point 1, the enterprise must also present the original purchase and sale contract signed with the importing enterprise.
III. IMPLEMENTATION PROVISIONS:
The export of sawn timber and wooden products made from timber with legitimate sources of import from Cambodia shall be carried out in accordance with Decision No. 65/1998/QĐ-TTg dated March 24, 1998 of the Prime Minister on the export of wood products and forestry materials and import of raw wood materials, and Decision No. 136/1998/QĐ-TTg dated July 31, 1998 of the Prime Minister on amending certain regulations on export procedures for wood products and forestry materials.
This Circular takes effect from the date of signature./.
