Decision No. 02/2004/QD-BTS On Issuing Industry Standards

Pursuant to Decision No. 02/2004/QD-BTS of the Ministry of Fisheries on issuing industry standards for shrimp farming facilities, shrimp farming areas, floating cage fish farming areas, and bivalve harvesting areas, these standards shall be mandatorily applied nationwide from the date of publication in the Official Gazette for newly constructed facilities and from January 1, 2005, for existing facilities.

DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF AQUATIC RESOURCES

Regarding the Issuance of Industry Standards

MINISTER OF AQUATIC RESOURCES

Pursuant to the Government Decree 43/2003/ND-CP dated May 2, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Fisheries;

Pursuant to the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department,

Article 1: The following 04 Industry Standards are hereby promulgated together with this Decision:

1. 28TCN 190 : 2004: Shrimp Farming Facility - Food Safety and Hygiene Conditions.

2. 28TCN 191 : 2004: Shrimp Cultivation Area - Food Safety and Hygiene Conditions.

3. 28TCN 192 : 2004: Floating Cage Fish Farming Area - Food Safety and Hygiene Conditions.

4. 28TCN 193 : 2004: Bivalve Harvesting Area - Food Safety and Hygiene Conditions.

Article 2: The standards mentioned in Article 1 must be compulsorily applied throughout the country and shall take effect as follows:

Fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette for shrimp farming facilities, shrimp cultivation areas, floating cage fish farming areas, and bivalve harvesting areas that are newly planned and constructed.

As of January 1, 2005, for existing shrimp farming facilities, shrimp cultivation areas, floating cage fish farming areas, and bivalve harvesting areas that need repair and supplementation to comply with the standard requirements.

Article 3: The Head of the Ministry's Office; Heads of Departments and Bureaus; Chief Inspector of the Ministry; Heads of subordinate units of the Ministry; Directors of Fisheries Departments and Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development responsible for fisheries management; shrimp farming facilities, shrimp cultivation areas, floating cage fish farming areas, and bivalve harvesting areas mentioned in Article 2, and other related units are responsible for implementing this Decision.
