DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries and the establishment of wards under the districts of Ba Dinh and Cau Giay and the establishment of Trau Qui town, Gia Lam district, Hanoi city Gia Lam district, Hanoi city

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi city,

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted and wards are established under the districts of Ba Dinh and Cau Giay and the town of Trau Qui, Gia Lam district, Hanoi city as follows:

1. Adjustment of administrative boundaries and establishment of wards under Ba Dinh district:

a) Adjusting 1 hectare of natural area and 200 population from Ward Cong Vien to be managed by Ward Ngoc Khanh.

b) Adjusting 5.58 hectares of natural area and 805 population from Ward Ngoc Khanh to be managed by Ward Cong Vien.

c) Establishing Ward Lieu Giai based on 52.88 hectares of natural area and 13,415 population from Ward Cong Vien, and 19.90 hectares of natural area and 5,226 population from Ward Ngoc Ha.

Ward Lieu Giai has 72.78 hectares of natural area and 18,641 population.

Administrative boundary of Ward Lieu Giai: East borders Wards Ngoc Ha and Doi Can; West borders Wards Vinh Phuc and Cong Vien; South borders Wards Ngoc Khanh and Kim Ma; North borders Ba Dinh district.

d) Establishing Ward Vinh Phuc based on 73.72 hectares of natural area and 15,743 population from Ward Cong Vien.

Ward Vinh Phuc has 73.72 hectares of natural area and 15,743 population.

Administrative boundary of Ward Vinh Phuc: East borders Ward Lieu Giai; West borders Cau Giay district; South borders Ward Cong Vien; North borders Ba Dinh district.

After adjusting administrative boundaries and establishing wards:

Ward Cong Vien remains with 52.48 hectares of natural area and 14,786 population.

Ward Ngoc Ha remains with 80.10 hectares of natural area and 16,774 population.

Ward Ngoc Khanh has 104.42 hectares of natural area and 24,395 population.

2. Adjustment of administrative boundaries and establishment of wards under Cau Giay district:

a) Adjusting 12.44 hectares of natural area and 1,370 population from Ward Quan Hoa to be managed by Ward Dich Vong.

b) Adjusting 48.10 hectares of natural area and 9,898 population from Ward Dich Vong to be managed by Ward Quan Hoa.

c) Establishing Ward Dich Vong Hau based on 52.88 hectares of natural area and 8,684 population from Ward Quan Hoa, and 94.84 hectares of natural area and 11,281 population from Ward Dich Vong.

Ward Dich Vong Hau has 147.72 hectares of natural area and 19,965 population.

Administrative boundary of Ward Dich Vong Hau: East borders Ward Dich Vong; West borders Ward Mai Dich; South borders Ward Yen Hoa and Thuong Tin district; North borders Ward Nghia Tan.

After adjusting administrative boundaries and establishing wards:

- Ward Quan Hoa remains with 82.68 hectares of natural area and 19,500 population.

- Ward Dich Vong remains with 132.20 hectares of natural area and 11,301 population.

3. Establishing Trau Qui town - the town seat of Gia Lam district based on the entire natural area and population of Trau Qui commune.

Trau Qui town has 734.57 hectares of natural area and 21,772 population.

Administrative boundary of Trau Qui town: East borders communes Phu Thi and Duong Xa; West borders commune Dong Du and Long Bien district; South borders commune Da Ton; North borders communes Co Bi and Dang Xa and Long Bien district.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanoi city, the Minister of Interior, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
