DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF FINANCE

Regarding the abolition of export quota fees for textile and garment products to the EU and Canada markets

THE MINISTER OF FINANCE

 

Pursuant to Decree No. 77/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 1, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Finance;

Pursuant to Decree No. 57/2002/NĐ-CP dated June 3, 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of the Ordinance on Fees and Charges;

Pursuant to the Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the European Community on market access dated December 3, 2004, and the Notice of the Canadian Department of Commerce dated December 3, 2004;

Following the opinion of the Ministry of Trade in Circular No. 6403 TM/XNK dated December 16, 2004, proposing the abolition of export quota fees for textile and garment products to the EU and Canada markets;

At the request of the Director of the Tax Policy Department,

 

DECISION:

 

Article 1. Abolish the export quota fees for textile and garment products to the EU and Canada markets as stipulated in Decision No. 16/2004/QD-BTC dated February 12, 2004 of the Minister of Finance on the issuance of the schedule of collection rates for export quota fees for textile and garment products to the EU and the United States, and Decision No. 118/2002/QD-BTC dated September 25, 2002 of the Minister of Finance on the issuance of the schedule of collection rates for export quota fees for textile and garment products to the EU and Canada.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect from January 1, 2005.

Article 3. Exporters of textile and garment products subject to the payment of export quota fees for textile and garment products to the EU and Canada markets under Decision No. 118/2002/QD-BTC dated September 25, 2002 of the Minister of Finance, Decision No. 16/2004/QD-BTC dated February 12, 2004 of the Minister of Finance, and units assigned by the Ministry of Trade to collect such fees, as well as relevant agencies, are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
