BASED ON THE LAW ON CREDIT ORGANIZATIONS 1997 AND THE LAW AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE LAW ON CREDIT ORGANIZATIONS 2004;
Pursuant to Decree No. 52/2003/ND-CP dated May 19, 2003, issued by the Government, detailing the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the State Bank of Vietnam;

Article 1. ATTACHED TO THIS DECISION ARE THE "REGULATIONS ON THE BANK CODE SYSTEM USED IN SETTLEMENT TRANSACTIONS THROUGH THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM".
Article 2. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS AFTER ITS PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE AND SHALL REPLACE DECISION NO. 1247/2003/QĐ-NHNN DATED OCTOBER 20, 2003 OF THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM ISSUING REGULATIONS ON THE BANK CODE SYSTEM USED IN SETTLEMENT TRANSACTIONS THROUGH THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM, AND DECISION NO. 1677/2003/QĐ-NHNN DATED DECEMBER 31, 2003 REGARDING THE AMENDMENT OF ARTICLE 2 OF DECISION 1247 DATED OCTOBER 20, 2003 OF THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM.
DECISIONS AMENDING, SUPPLEMENTING, AND CANCELING BANK CODES ISSUED ALONG WITH DECISION 1247/2003/QĐ-NHNN DATED DECEMBER 31, 2003 ON THE BANK CODE SYSTEM USED IN SETTLEMENT TRANSACTIONS THROUGH THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM SHALL BECOME INVALID.
Article 3. THE HEAD OF THE OFFICE, THE CHAIRMAN OF THE SETTLEMENT DEPARTMENT, THE DIRECTOR OF THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CREDIT DEPARTMENT, THE HEADS OF UNITS UNDER THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM, THE DIRECTORS OF THE STATE BANK OF VIETNAM BRANCHES IN PROVINCES AND CENTRALLY-GOVERNED CITIES, AND THE CHAIRMEN AND GENERAL MANAGERS (DIRECTORS) OF SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR SETTLEMENT TRANSACTIONS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECISION.
