CIRCULAR

Regarding the suspension of the implementation of Circular No. 78/2017/TT-BTNMT dated December 29, 2017 issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on national technical standards for the environment

MINISTER OF NATURAL RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Legislative Regulatory Documents dated June 22, 2015;

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;

Pursuant to the Environmental Protection Law on June 23, 2014;

Based on Decree No. 132/2008/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2008 of the Government detailing implementation of certain provisions

On the basis of Decision No. 36/2017/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2017, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;

At the proposal of the Director General of the Environmental Protection Department, the Head of the Science and Technology Department, and the Head of the Legal Affairs Department;

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment issues this Circular to suspend the implementation of Circular No. 78/2017/TT-BTNMT dated December 29, 2017 issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on national technical standards for the environment,

Article 1. The suspension of the implementation of Circular No. 78/2017/TT-BTNMT dated December 29, 2017 issued by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on national technical standards for the environment shall be effective until June 30, 2019.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from July 1, 2018 until June 30, 2019.

Article 3. The Director of the Environmental Protection Agency is responsible for guiding and organizing the implementation of this Circular.

The Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Heads of units under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Directors of Provincial Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular. In the course of implementation, if there are difficulties or obstacles, relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals should promptly report them to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for consideration and resolution.
