Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of communes, establishment of communes and wards under An Khê town and Chu Pras district, Gia Lai province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province,
DECREE:
Article 1. The administrative boundaries of communes under An Khê town and Chu Pras district, Gia Lai province are adjusted as follows:
1. Establishing the commune of Xuan An under An Khê town based on the adjustment of 2,793.00 hectares of natural area and 3,504 population from the commune of Tu An.
Commune Xuan An has 2,793.00 hectares of natural area and 3,504 population.
Administrative boundary of commune Xuan An: East borders commune Cuu An, An Khê town and Vinh Thanh district, Binh Dinh province; West borders commune Thanh An and commune Tu An, An Khê town; South borders commune Cuu An and commune Thanh An, An Khê town; North borders commune Tu An, An Khê town.
2. Establishing the ward of An Phuoc under An Khê town based on the adjustment of 1,879.22 hectares of natural area and 2,970 population from commune Cuu An.
Ward An Phuoc has 1,879.22 hectares of natural area and 2,970 population.
Administrative boundary of ward An Phuoc: East borders commune Cuu An, An Khê town; West borders commune Thanh An, An Khê town; South borders commune Song An, An Khê town; North borders commune Tu An, An Khê town.
3. Establishing the ward of Ngo My under An Khê town based on the adjustment of 1,004.10 hectares of natural area and 4,750 population from commune Song An.

4. Establishing the commune of Ia Kreng under Chu Pras district based on the adjustment of 11,392.64 hectares of natural area and 1,343 population from commune Ia Mo Nong.

Administrative boundary of commune Ia Kreng: East borders commune Ia Mo Nong, Chu Pras district; West borders Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province; South borders commune Ia Krai, Ia Grai district; North borders Sa Thay district, Kon Tum province.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries:
- Commune Tu An remains with 3,533.95 hectares of natural area and 4,853 population.
- Commune Cuu An remains with 1,998.08 hectares of natural area and 3,660 population.
- Commune Song An remains with 4,452.33 hectares of natural area and 4,920 population.
An Khê town has 19,912.10 hectares of natural area and 65,846 population, including 11 administrative units, namely wards: An Binh, Tay Son, An Phu, An Tan, An Phuoc, Ngo My, and communes: Tu An, Cuu An, Song An, Thanh An, Xuan An.
- Commune Ia Mo Nong remains with 4,990.00 hectares of natural area and 3,167 population.
Chu Pras district has 98,039.65 hectares of natural area and 64,593 population, including 15 administrative units, namely: Phu Hoa town and communes: Ia Khoul, Ia Phi, Ia Ly, Ia Mo Nong, Ia Kreng, Ia Ka, Ia Nhin, Nghia Hoa, Hoa Phu, Nghia Hung, Chu Jor, Chu Dang Ya, Ha Tay, and Dak To Ver.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Article 3. The Minister of Home Affairs, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
