DECISION OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE
Regarding the implementation of Article 3 of Decree No. 29/2004/ND-CP dated January 16, 2004 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Trade
THE MINISTER OF TRADE
Decree No. 29/2004/ND-CP dated January 16, 2004 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Trade;
At the proposal of the Director of the Cadre and Civil Servant Department,
DECISION:
Article 1. The organizational structure of the Ministry shall be changed as follows:
a. Establish new organizations:
1. The Competition Management Department based on the Competition Management Board.
2. The European Market Policy Department (referred to as the Region 2 Department) and the American Market Department (referred to as the Region 3 Department) based on the division of the European and American Market Policy Department.
3. The E-commerce Department based on the Information Technology and E-commerce Board.
4. The Planning and Investment Department based on the merger of three Departments: Statistics Planning, Investment, and Science.
b. Rename the following organizations:
1. The Domestic Trade Policy Department to the Domestic Market Policy Department.
2. The Mountainous Area Trade Development Department to the Mountainous Area Trade and Border Trade Department.
3. The Asian-Pacific Region Market Policy Department to the Asia-Pacific Market Department (referred to as the Region 1 Department).
4. The African, Southwest Asia, and Central-Eastern Market Policy Department to the Africa, West Asia, and South Asia Market Department (referred to as the Region 4 Department).
Article 2. New organizations established and renamed under Article 1 shall perform their functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure according to the new regulations of the Minister of Trade.
Other organizations shall continue to perform their functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure as currently in place until new regulations of the Minister of Trade are issued.
Article 3. This Decision takes effect from the date of signature; all previous provisions contrary to this Decision are hereby abolished.
Article 4. The Director of the Ministry's Office, Heads of the Cadres and Civil Servants Department, Heads of all Departments, Bureaus, and Inspectors General of the Ministry are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
