DECREE

Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries of Krông Nô District and Cư Jút District, Dak Nong Province

 THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;

Pursuant to Resolution No. 22/2003/QH11 dated November 26, 2003 of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Session 4, Eleventh Term, on the division and adjustment of administrative boundaries of some provinces;

Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province (former);

 

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries of Krông Nô District and Cư Jút District, Dak Nong Province are adjusted as follows:

1. After adjusting the administrative boundaries, transfer two communes of Nam Ka and EaR'Bin from Krông Nô District to Lak District, Dak Lak Province:

Krông Nô District retains 81,680 hectares of natural area and 51,086 population, with 10 administrative units including communes Quảng Phú, Đắk Rồ, Nam Đà, Đức Xuyên, Đắk Sôr, Nâm Nung, Nâm N'Đir, Buôn Choah, Đắk Nang, and town Đắk Mâm.

2. After adjusting the administrative boundaries, transfer three communes of Hòa Phú, Hòa Khánh, and Hòa Xuân from Cư Jút District to Dak Lak Province:

Cư Jút District retains 71,889 hectares of natural area and 77,048 population, with 8 administrative units including communes Trúc Sơn, Tâm Thắng, Nam Dong, Ea Pô, Đắk Wil, Chư Knia, Đắk Drông, and town Ea Tling.

Dak Nong Province has 651,438 hectares of natural area and 363,118 population, comprising 6 administrative units including districts Đắk R'Lấp, Đắk Nông, Đắk Song, Đắk Mil, Krông Nô, and Cư Jút.

Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.

Article 3. The Chairman of the Interim People's Committee of Dak Nong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
