Regarding the Issuance of Industry Standards
MINISTER OF AQUATIC RESOURCES
Decree No. 43/2003/ND-CP dated May 2, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Fisheries;
At the proposal of the Director of the Science and Technology Department,
DECISION:
Article 1: The following 08 Departmental Standards are hereby promulgated together with this Decision:
1. 28 TCN194:2004: Nitrofurans in aquatic products and aquatic product derivatives - Quantitative method by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.
2. 28 TCN195:2004: Organophosphorus pesticides in aquatic products and aquatic product derivatives - Quantitative method by gas chromatography.
3. 28 TCN196:2004: Sulfonamides in aquatic product derivatives - Quantitative method by high-performance liquid chromatography.
4. 28 TCN197:2004: Penicillin in aquatic product derivatives - Quantitative method by high-performance liquid chromatography.
5. 28 TCN198:2004: Histamine in aquatic product derivatives - Quantitative method by high-performance liquid chromatography.
6. 28 TCN199:2004: Salmonella in aquatic product derivatives - Qualitative method by Polymerase Chain Reaction technique.
7. 28 TCN200:2004: Vibrio cholerae in aquatic product derivatives - Qualitative method.
8. 28 TCN201:2004: Frozen aquatic products - Squid meat
Article 2: These standards shall take effect 15 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall be applied as follows:
Encouragement to apply 07 standards on testing methods for quality control laboratories when conducting aquatic product quality inspections.
Encouragement to apply Standard 28TCN 201:2004 for frozen aquatic product processing facilities. Specifically, the microbiological criteria (Clause 4.6) must be mandatorily applied.
Article 3: The Director of the Ministry's Office; Heads of Departments and Bureaus; the Inspector General of the Ministry; Directors of Fisheries Departments and Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development responsible for fisheries management; Heads of units with quality control laboratories and Directors of processing facilities referred to in Article 2 are responsible for implementing this Decision.
