CIRCULAR

Provincial People's Committees set specific pricesamending and supplementing some articles of Decision No. 56/2005/QĐ-BGTVT dated October 28

2005 of the Minister of Transport on the organization and operation of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center

Article 1. Amending and supplementing Clause 2, Article 6 of Decision No. 56/2005/QĐ-BGTVT dated October 28, 2005 of the Minister of Transport on the organization and operation of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center as follows:

Pursuant to the Maritime Code of Vietnam dated June 14, 2005;

Pursuant to Decree No. 51/2008/NĐ-CP dated April 22, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

The Minister of Transport hereby promulgates:

"2. The maritime search and rescue coordination centers in regions are subordinate units under the Center, entitled to use their own seals, and allowed to open accounts at the State Treasury, including the following maritime search and rescue coordination centers in regions:

a. The maritime search and rescue coordination center in Region I, located in Haiphong City, responsible for the maritime search and rescue area from the southern boundary of the sea of Ha Tinh Province to the northern boundary of the sea of Quang Ninh Province;

b. The maritime search and rescue coordination center in Region II, located in Da Nang City, responsible for the maritime search and rescue area from the southern boundary of the sea of Ha Tinh Province to the southern boundary of the sea of Binh Dinh Province;

c. The maritime search and rescue coordination center in Region III, located in Vung Tau City, responsible for the maritime search and rescue area from the southern boundary of the sea of Ninh Thuan Province to the northern boundary of the sea of Kien Giang Province (excluding the sea area of the Spratly Islands);

d. The maritime search and rescue coordination center in Region IV, located in Nha Trang City, responsible for the maritime search and rescue area from the southern boundary of the sea of Binh Dinh Province to the southern boundary of the sea of Ninh Thuan Province and the sea area of the Spratly Islands."

2. Abolishing Decision No. 744/QĐ-BGTVT dated March 24, 2006 of the Minister of Transport on the establishment of the Spratly Search and Rescue Station.

Article 2. Effective Date

1. This Circular takes effect 45 days from the date of signature.

The Head of the Ministry's Office, the Inspector General, Heads of Departments, Directors of the Vietnam Maritime Administration, General Director of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center, Heads of agencies, organizations, and individuals related to this Circular shall be responsible for its implementation./.

Article 3. Implementation Organization

The Head of the Ministry’s Office, the Inspector General of the Ministry, the Heads of relevant Departments, the Director of the Vietnam Maritime Administration, the General Director of the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center, the Heads of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals concerned shall be responsible for implementing this Circular./.
