CIRCULAR

REGULATIONS ON THE SET OF STATISTICAL INDICATORS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN VIETNAM

Pursuant to the Law on Statistics No. 89/2015/QH13 dated November 23, 2015;

Pursuant to the Government Decree sPursuant to Decree No. 24/2018/NĐ-CP dated February 27, 2018 of the Government on handling complaints and reports in the fields of labor, vocational education, dispatching Vietnamese workers abroad under contracts, employment, occupational safety and health;Decision No. 94/2016/NĐ-CP July 1, 2016 Government Decree No. 97/2016/NĐ-CP detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Statistics;No.statistics;

Pursuant to Decree No.97/2016/NĐ-CP July 1, 2016 Government Decree No. 97/2016/NĐ-CP stipulating the contents of statistical expenditures;ê belonging to the national statistical indicator system;No.statistics;

Pursuant to Decree No.Decision No. 86/2017/NĐ-CP dated July 25, 2017 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Planning and Investment;

The Prime Minister issues this Decision amending and supplementing certain Articles of Decision No.622/QĐ-TTg May 10, 2017 Prime Minister Decision No. 622/QĐ-TTg on the issuance of the National Action Plan to implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development;

At the proposal of the General Statistics Office Director;

The Minister of Planning and Investment issues this Circular to regulate the Set of Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development in Vietnam.

Article 1. Scope of Regulation and Applicability

1. This Circular regulates the Set of Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development in Vietnam comprising:

a) The list of Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development in Vietnam as specified in Appendix I of this Circular;

b) The content of Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development in Vietnam as specified in Appendix II of this Circular.

2. The Set of Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development in Vietnam consists of statistical indicators related to various sectors and fields, connecting regions, aimed at providing data to assess the implementation of sustainable development goals in Vietnam.

3. This Circular applies to agencies, organizations, and individuals providing statistical information, producing statistical information, and using statistical information on Vietnam's sustainable development goals.

Article 2. Implementation

c) Applying information technology in statistical activities using the classification of institutional sectors to be applied in Vietnam's statistics.

a) Collecting and compiling statistical information within the Set of Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development in Vietnam to ensure the provision of complete, accurate, timely data that meets international comparison requirements;

b) Establishing and perfecting methods for collecting information on the Set of Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development in Vietnam;

c) Building statistical databases for Vietnam's Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development.

2. Ministries equivalent to ministries, government agencies, Supreme People's Court, Supreme People's Procuracy, and relevant agencies shall be responsible for collecting and compiling the assigned indicators based on the Set of Statistical Indicators for Sustainable Development in Vietnam and provide them to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (General Statistics Office) for consolidation and compilation.

Article 3. Effectiveness

1. This Circular takes effect from March 8, 2019.

2. During the implementation process, if there are any difficulties, agencies and units should send their opinions to the Ministry of Planning and Investment (General Statistics Office) for timely guidance, research, and amendment.
