Issuing the "National Technical Regulation on Drinking Water Quality"

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases No. 03/2007/QH12 dated November 21, 2007;

Pursuant to the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations No. 68/2006/QH11 dated June 29, 2006;

Pursuant to Decree No. 188/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 27, 2007 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Preventive Medicine and Environment Department and the Head of the Legal Affairs Department,

Article 1. The accompanying Circular issues the "National Technical Regulation on Drinking Water Quality".

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from December 1, 2009. The Decision No. 1329/2002/BYT-QD dated April 18, 2002 of the Minister of Health on issuing the Sanitation Standards for Drinking Water is hereby repealed.

Article 3. The Permanent Secretaries of the Ministry, Heads of the Science and Training Department, Directors of the Preventive Medicine and Environment Department, Heads of the Legal Affairs Department, Chief Inspectors of the Ministry, Heads of relevant Departments and Bureaus, Heads of subordinate units under the Ministry of Health, Directors of Provincial Health Services, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular.
