DECREE
concerning the establishment of the city of Hưng Yên under Hưng Yên province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hưng Yên Province,
DECREE:
Article 1Establish the city of Hưng Yên under Hưng Yên province based on the entire natural area, population, and administrative units directly subordinate to the town of Hưng Yên.
The city of Hưng Yên has a natural area of 4,685.51 hectares and a population of 121,486, with 12 administrative units, including the wards: Le Loi, Quang Trung, Minh Khai, Lam Son, Hien Nam, An Tao, Hong Chau, and the communes: Quang Chau, Hong Nam, Lien Phuong, Trung Nghia, Bao Khe. The administrative boundary of the city of Hưng Yên: to the East and South bordering the district of Tien Lu; to the West bordering Ha Nam province; to the North bordering the district of Kim Dong.
Article 2 This Decree shall take effect 45 days from the date of issuance.
Article 3 The Chairman of the People's Committee of Hưng Yên Province, the Minister of Interior, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
