BASED ON THE PROVISIONS OF DECISION NO. 254/1998/QĐ-TTg DATED DECEMBER 30, 1998 OF THE GOVERNMENT PRIME MINISTER ON THE MANAGEMENT OF IMPORT AND EXPORT OF GOODS IN 1999.
THE MINISTRY OF TRADE AMENDS CLAUSE 5 SECTION II OF CIRCULAR 03/1999/TT-BTM DATED JANUARY 15, 1999 OF THE MINISTRY OF TRADE GUIDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PRIME MINISTER'S DECISION NO. 254/1998/QĐ-TTg DATED DECEMBER 30, 1998 AS FOLLOWS:

DOMESTIC ENTERPRISES WITH INVESTMENTS IN TWO-WHEEL MOTORCYCLE ASSEMBLY PRODUCTION ARE PERMITTED TO IMPORT IKD COMPONENTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THEIR PRODUCTION CAPACITY, CONSISTENT WITH THE CONFIRMATION OF ELIGIBILITY FOR TWO-WHEEL MOTORCYCLE ASSEMBLY FROM THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT AFTER JOINT INSPECTION AND AGREEMENT WITH THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION; CONSISTENT WITH THE LIST OF IMPORTED PARTS AND THE LIST OF DOMESTICATED PARTS CONFIRMED BY THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENT, AND OTHER PROVISIONS SET OUT IN CIRCULAR NO. 04/1998/TT-BTM DATED MARCH 12, 1998 OF THE MINISTRY OF TRADE.

THIS PROVISION SIMULTANEOUSLY REPLACES POINT 2.3 CLAUSE 2 SECTION II OF CIRCULAR NO. 04/1998/TT-BTM DATED MARCH 12, 1998 OF THE MINISTRY OF TRADE GUIDING THE IMPORT OF IKD COMPONENTS FOR TWO-WHEEL MOTORCYCLES. OTHER PROVISIONS OF CIRCULAR NO. 04/1998/TT-BTM DATED MARCH 12, 1998 OF THE MINISTRY OF TRADE REMAIN IN EFFECT.

THIS CIRCULAR TAKES EFFECT FROM THE DATE OF SIGNATURE AND IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF CIRCULAR NO. 03/1999/TT-BTM DATED JANUARY 15, 1999 OF THE MINISTRY OF TRADE.
