Issuing Regulations on Speed and Distance between Motor Vehicles Participating in Road Traffic

MINISTER OF TRANSPORT

Pursuant to the Law on Road Traffic dated June 29, 2001;

Pursuant to the Decree No. 34/2003/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Transport;

Pursuant to the Decree No. 72/2001/NĐ-CP dated October 5, 2001 of the Government on the classification of urban areas and urban management levels;

At the proposal of the Director of the Transport Department, the Director General of the Vietnam Highway Administration.

DECISION:

Article 1. The attached Decision promulgates "Regulations on Speed and Distance between Motor Vehicles Participating in Road Traffic on Roadways."

Article 2. This Decision takes effect from March 15, 2007 and revokes Decision No. 42/2005/QĐ-BGTVT dated September 16, 2005 of the Minister of Transport promulgating Regulations on Speed and Distance between Motor Vehicles Operating on Roadways.

Article 3. The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Inspectorate, the Directors of the Departments, the Directors of the Bureaus under the Ministry, the Directors of the Provincial Departments of Transport (Public Works) under centrally administered cities and provinces, the Heads of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
