Circular No. 05/2009/TT-BNN supplements 455 active ingredients of pesticides to the list of permitted pesticides in Vietnam, and at the same time stipulates the export and import of these types of pesticides.

CIRCULAR
Regarding the addition of certain types of plant protection products to the List of Plant Protection Products Permitted for Use in Vietnam

Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2008/NĐ-CP dated January 3, 2008, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Pursuant to the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance promulgated on August 8, 2001;
Pursuant to the Regulation on Management of Plant Protection Products issued together with Decision No. 89/2006/QĐ-BNN dated October 2, 2006 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
At the proposal of the Director of the Plant Protection Department,
Article 1
1. Official registration: Eight active ingredients with eight trade names (including three active ingredients with three trade names for insecticides, three active ingredients with three trade names for fungicides, one active ingredient with one trade name for herbicides, and one active ingredient with one trade name for growth regulators) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).
2. Supplementary registration: Three hundred forty-seven cases (including one hundred eighty-nine insecticides, one hundred thirteen fungicides, thirty-two herbicides, seven molluscicides, five growth regulators, and one termite control product) into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list).
Article 2. The export and import of plant protection products under this Circular shall be carried out in accordance with the Regulations on Export and Import of Goods issued together with Decree No. 12/2006/NĐ-CP dated January 23, 2006 of the Government.
Article 3. This Circular shall take effect forty-five days from the date of signature.
Article 4. The Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Head of the Ministry's Office, Heads of units under the Ministry, and relevant organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular./.
