Issuing the "National Technical Regulation on Drinking Water Quality"

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH
Pursuant to the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases No. 03/2007/QH12 dated November 21, 2007;
Pursuant to the Law on Technical Standards and Regulations No. 68/2006/QH11 dated June 29, 2006;
Pursuant to Decree No. 188/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 27, 2007 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Considering the proposal of the Director of the Preventive Medicine and Environment Department and the Legal Affairs Department,
Article 1. The attached Circular issues the "National Technical Regulation on Drinking Water Quality".
Article 2. This Circular takes effect from December 1, 2009. The Decision No. 09/2005/QĐ-BYT dated March 13, 2005 of the Minister of Health on the issuance of Sanitation Standards for Clean Water is hereby repealed.
Article 3. The Heads of the Ministry's Office, the Science and Training Department, the Preventive Medicine and Environment Department, the Legal Affairs Department, the Inspectorate, relevant Departments and Bureaus, Heads of units under the Ministry of Health, Directors of Health Departments of provinces and centrally governed cities, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular.
