 DECREE

Amending and supplementing some articles of Decree No. 53/2019/NĐ-CP
dated June 17, 2019 of the Government detailing the establishment,
examination, approval, and adjustment of water resources planning; dike management;
flood prevention along river sections with dikes

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated June 19, 2015; the Law Amending and Supplementing Certain Provisions of the Law on Organization of the Government and the Law on Organization of Local Administration dated November 22, 2019;

Pursuant to the Law Amending and Supplementing Some Articles of 37 Related Laws on Planning dated November 20, 2018;

Pursuant to the Law on Irrigation dated June 19, 2017;

Pursuant to the Law on Dike Management dated November 29, 2006; the Law Amending and Supplementing Some Articles of the Law on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and the Law on Dike Management dated June 17, 2020;

At the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development;

The Government issues this Decree amending and supplementing some articles of Decree No. 53/2019/NĐ-CP dated June 17, 2019 of the Government detailing the establishment, examination, approval, and adjustment of water resources planning; dike management; flood prevention along river sections with dikes.

Article 1. Amending and supplementing some articles of Decree No. 53/2019/NĐ-CP dated June 17, 2019 of the Government detailing the establishment, examination, approval, and adjustment of water resources planning; dike management; flood prevention along river sections with dikes

Amend and supplement Article 4 as follows:

"Article 4. Costs for establishing, examining, approving, and adjusting planning

Costs for establishing, examining, approving, announcing, and adjusting planning, and evaluating planning shall be sourced from regular budget funds according to the laws on state budget or other lawful sources."

Article 2. Implementation clause

1. This Decree shall take effect from the date of issuance.

2. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally-administered city People's Committees, relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals are responsible for implementing this Decree.
