Regarding the establishment of Haiphong University of Medicine
PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;
Pursuant to Decree No. 15/CP dated March 2, 1993 on the tasks, powers, and responsibilities for state management of Ministries and ministerial-level agencies;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Health at Circular No. 7924/TTr-BYT dated November 6, 1998, and the Minister of Education and Training at Official Letter No. 8529/TCCB dated September 29, 1997,
DECISION:
Article 1. Haiphong University of Medicine shall be established based on the Haiphong Branch of Hanoi Medical University.
Article 2. Haiphong University of Medicine shall have the following tasks:
- Training personnel in medical fields at the university level.
- Conducting scientific research in medicine to serve economic and social development.
Article 3. Haiphong University of Medicine shall be under the Ministry of Health; it shall enjoy policies and regulations issued by the State applicable to the system of universities and colleges.
Article 4. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.
Article 5. The Minister of Health, the Minister of Education and Training, the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and municipal People's Committees directly under the central government are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
