PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

At the proposal of the Minister of Justice; the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Personnel Council of the Government; and the Minister of Finance,

DECISION:

Article 1. The following regulations are hereby established regarding subsidies for Judges, Investigators, Prosecutors, and Court Secretaries working at judicial agencies (including those under the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security):

a) A monthly subsidy of 120,000 VND per person shall be applied to Judges, Investigators, and Prosecutors.

b) A monthly subsidy of 100,000 VND per person shall be applied to Court Secretaries.

Article 2. The Ministry of Finance shall coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to allocate funds for implementing the subsidy regime into the annual state budget estimates of agencies whose members are entitled to such benefits as stipulated in Article 1 of this Decision.

Article 3. This Decision takes effect from January 1, 2001.

For Judges and Court Secretaries of the Supreme People's Court who receive the subsidy as prescribed in this Decision, they shall cease to receive additional allowances outside their salaries as stipulated in Circular No. 683/KGVX dated February 14, 1997 of the Government Office.

Article 4. The Minister of Justice, the Minister, Head of the Civil Service Personnel Council of the Government, the Minister of Finance, and the Minister of Public Security shall cooperate with the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy to provide guidance on the implementation of this Decision.

Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial and centrally governed city People's Committees are responsible for enforcing this Decision./.
