CIRCULAR
Issuing titles and codes for midwife categories

Pursuant to Decree No. 48/2008/NĐ-CP dated April 17, 2008, issued by the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Home Affairs;
At the request of the Minister of Health in Circular No. 8352/BYT-TCCB dated December 3, 2010 regarding the supplementation and amendment of titles and codes for midwife categories;
The Ministry of Home Affairs issues titles and codes for midwife categories, specifically as follows:
Article 1. Issuing titles and codes for midwife categories, including:
1. Senior Midwife &
2. Midwifery - Code number: 16.295
3. Associate Degree Midwifery &
4. Mid-level Obstetrician - Code number: 16.297
5. Entry-level Obstetrician - Code number: 16.298
Article 2. The titles and code numbers of the obstetrician staff grades prescribed in this Circular shall serve as the basis for the Ministry of Health to issue the vocational standards for the obstetrician staff grades.
Article 3. This Circular shall take effect 45 days from the date of issuance.
Article 4. Abolish the provisions on the titles and code numbers of the female obstetrician staff grades as stipulated in Decision No. 78/2004/QĐ-BNV dated November 3, 2004 of the Minister of Home Affairs on issuing the list of civil service grades and staff grades, including:
1. Senior Female Obstetrician - Code number: 16.123
2. Principal Female Obstetrician - Code number: 16.124
3. Female Obstetrician - Code number: 16.125
Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing the provisions of this Circular./.
