CIRCULAR
Amending and supplementing Circular No. 22/2009/TT-BCT dated August 4, 2009 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the transit of goods from the Lao People's Democratic Republic through the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
Pursuant to Decree No. 95/2012/NĐ-CP dated November 12, 2012, of the Government, detailing the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Industry and Trade;
Pursuant to Decree No. 187/2013/NĐ-CP dated November 20, 2013 of the Government detailing the Law on Trade regarding international trade activities and related activities of buying, selling, processing, and transiting goods with foreign countries;
Implementing the Agreement on the Transit of Goods between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic dated March 13, 2009;
Implementing the Protocol amending and supplementing the Agreement on the Transit of Goods between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in 2009;
At the proposal of the Director of the Import-Export Department,
The Minister of Industry and Trade issues this Circular amending and supplementing Circular No. 22/2009/TT-BCT dated August 4, 2009 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on the transit of goods from the Lao People's Democratic Republic through the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Article 1. Article 6 of Circular No. 22/2009/TT-BCT dated August 4, 2009 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on the transit of goods from the Lao People's Democratic Republic through the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as Circular No. 22/2009/TT-BCT) shall be amended and supplemented as follows:
"Article 6. Border gates and transit routes for goods
1. Goods for transit may only pass through international border gates.
2. The route for transporting goods for transit shall be carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Transport."
Replace the phrase "Department of Import-Export" with "Import-Export Department".
Article 3. Effectiveness
This Circular takes effect from May 26, 2017./.
