CIRCULAR

Issuing economic-technical norms for inspection and acceptance of remote sensing products

geological and mineral survey work in the sea at depths from 300 to 2,500 meters and assessment of methane hydrate potential in Vietnam's marine areas at a scale of 1:500,000

Pursuant to the Law on Marine and Island Resources and Environment dated June 25, 2015;

Pursuant to Decree No. 40/2016/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2016 of the Government detailing a number of provisions of the Law on Marine Resources and Environment;

On the basis of Decision No. 36/2017/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2017, of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;

At the request of the Director General of the Vietnam Agency for Marine and Islands, the Head of the Planning and Finance Department, and the Head of the Legal Department;

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment promulgates this Circular on economic and technical norms for geological and mineral survey work in the sea at depths from 300 to 2,500 meters and assessment of methane hydrate potential in Vietnam's marine areas at a scale of 1:500,000.

Article 1. This Circular sets forth economic and technical norms for geological and mineral survey work in the sea at depths from 300 to 2,500 meters and assessment of methane hydrate potential in Vietnam's marine areas at a scale of 1:500,000.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from July 12, 2017.

The Decision No. 829/QĐ-BTNMT dated June 11, 2012 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on the promulgation of temporary economic and technical norms for geological and mineral survey work in the sea at depths from 300 to 2,500 meters and assessment of methane hydrate potential in Vietnam's marine areas at a scale of 1:500,000 shall cease to be effective.

Article 3. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, provincial People's Committees, units under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, provincial Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, and organizations and individuals concerned are responsible for implementing this Circular.

Any difficulties encountered during implementation should be reported to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for consideration and resolution./.
