Regarding the adjustment of commune boundaries to expand the town of Nho Quan and Me in Nho Quan and Gia Viễn districts, Ninh Binh province

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
The adjustment of commune boundaries to expand the town of Nho Quan in Nho Quan district and the town of Me in Gia Viễn district, Ninh Binh province, is as follows:
DECREE:
Article 1. 1. Adjusting 136.56 hectares of natural area and 1,916 population of Dong Phong commune; 46.24 hectares of natural area and 661 population of Lang Phong commune under the management of Nho Quan town.
Nho Quan town has 281.26 hectares of natural area and 8,623 population.
The administrative boundary of Nho Quan town: East borders Lang Phong commune, Nho Quan district; West borders Dong Phong commune, Nho Quan district; South borders Van Phong commune, Nho Quan district; North borders Phu Son and Lac Van communes, Nho Quan district.
2. Adjusting 210.49 hectares of natural area and 1,917 population of Gia Vuong commune; 21.96 hectares of natural area and 131 population of Gia Thinh commune under the management of Me town.
Me town has 339.93 hectares of natural area and 5,736 population.
The administrative boundary of Me town: East borders Gia Phuong and Gia Vuong communes, Gia Viyen district; West borders Gia Thinh, Gia Phu, and Lien Son communes, Gia Viyen district; South borders Gia Vuong and Gia Thinh communes, Gia Viyen district; North borders Gia Thinh, Gia Phu, Gia Hoa, and Gia Phuong communes, Gia Viyen district.
After adjusting the commune boundaries to expand the towns:
- Dong Phong commune retains 596.85 hectares of natural area and 4,679 population.
- Lang Phong commune retains 451.15 hectares of natural area and 3,563 population.
Nho Quan district has 45,833.07 hectares of natural area and 147,936 population, with 27 subordinate administrative units.
- Gia Vuong commune retains 322.51 hectares of natural area and 3,247 population.
- Gia Thinh commune retains 538.37 hectares of natural area and 7,615 population.
Gia Viyen district has 17,846.37 hectares of natural area and 117,356 population, with 21 subordinate administrative units.
The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ninh Binh Province, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
