THE MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT
Pursuant to Decree No. 73/CP dated November 1, 1995 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development;
Based on the regulations governing plant protection chemicals issued together with Decree No. 92/CP dated November 27, 1993 of the Government guiding the implementation of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance;
Pursuant to the Regulation on Pesticide Management issued together with the Government Decree No. 92/CP dated November 27, 1993 guiding the implementation of the Plant Protection and Quarantine Ordinance;
Officially register nine types of plant protection chemicals into the list of plant protection chemicals permitted for use in Vietnam (attached list), including: two insecticides, one fungicide, four herbicides, and two plant growth regulators.
DECISION:
Article 1- Supplementally register eighty-two types of plant protection products into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam (including a list attached) comprising forty-two insecticides, twenty-four fungicides, eleven herbicides, two ant control products, one rodenticide, and two plant growth regulators
Article 2- Special register six types of plant protection products into the list of plant protection products permitted for use in Vietnam, and one type of plant protection product into the list of plant protection products restricted for use in Vietnam (including a list attached)
Article 3: The export and import of plant protection products listed in the plant protection product lists issued together with this decision shall be carried out in accordance with Circular 41/2000/TT-BNN-KH dated April 13, 2000 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development guiding the export and import of goods under the specialized management of agriculture pursuant to Decision 242/1999/QĐ-TTg dated December 30, 1999 of the Prime Minister on the management of exports of goods in 2000
Article 4: The Director of the Office of the Ministry, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science, Technology and Standardization Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and domestic organizations, individuals, and foreign persons managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection products in Vietnam are responsible for implementing this decision./.
Article 5: This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of signature.
The Plant Protection Department shall be responsible for providing detailed guidance on safe and effective use of the aforementioned plant protection products.
Article 6: The Director of the Ministry's Office, the Director of the Plant Protection Department, the Director of the Science, Technology and Standardization Department, the Heads of units under the Ministry, and domestic organizations and individuals, as well as foreign persons managing, producing, trading, and using plant protection chemicals in Vietnam shall be responsible for implementing this Decision./.
