Pursuant to Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;
Pursuant to Decree No. 116/2003/NĐ-CP dated October 10, 2003 of the Government on the recruitment, use, and management of officials and civil servants in state-owned public institutions;
Pursuant to Decision No. 150/1999/QĐ-TCCP dated February 12, 1999 of the Minister - Head of the Civil Service Committee of the Government (now the Ministry of Home Affairs) on the issuance of examination regulations for promotion of civil servants;

Article 1The attached Decision sets forth "Regulations on the Content and Format of Examinations for Promotion to Higher Ranks for Medical Professionals".
Article 2This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette and shall supersede Decision No. 3011/2000/QĐ-BYT dated August 28, 2000 of the Minister of Health on the issuance of regulations on the content and format of examinations for promotion from Doctor to Senior Doctor and Pharmacist to Senior Pharmacist.
Article 3The Minister, Heads of Ministries equivalent to Ministries, Heads of Governmental Agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for directing the implementation of this Decision./.
