PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Pursuant to Decree No. 204/2004/NĐ-CP dated December 14, 2004 of the Government on the Salary System for Civil Servants, Public Officials, and Military Personnel;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Home Affairs.

Article 1. Civil servants assigned to the civil service ranks of customs officers (including the Director-General of the General Department of Customs) of the General Department of Customs under the Ministry of Finance shall be entitled to allowances for customs officers based on their profession as stipulated below:

1. The Director-General of the General Department of Customs and Senior Customs Inspectors shall receive an allowance for customs officers based on their profession equal to 10% of their current salary plus leadership position allowance and seniority allowance exceeding the ceiling (if applicable).

2. Chief Customs Inspectors shall receive an allowance for customs officers based on their profession equal to 15% of their current salary plus leadership position allowance and seniority allowance exceeding the ceiling (if applicable).

3. Customs Inspectors shall receive an allowance for customs officers based on their profession equal to 20% of their current salary plus leadership position allowance and seniority allowance exceeding the ceiling (if applicable).

4. Customs Inspectors (college level) shall receive an allowance for customs officers based on their profession equal to 20% of their current salary plus leadership position allowance and seniority allowance exceeding the ceiling (if applicable).

5. Intermediate Customs Inspectors shall receive an allowance for customs officers based on their profession equal to 25% of their current salary plus leadership position allowance and seniority allowance exceeding the ceiling (if applicable).

Customs staff shall receive an allowance for customs officers based on their profession equal to 25% of their current salary plus leadership position allowance and seniority allowance exceeding the ceiling (if applicable).

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.

Article 3. The source of funds for paying the allowances for customs officers based on their profession as prescribed in this Decision shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the State Budget Law and related legal documents.

Article 4. The Ministry of Finance shall take the lead and coordinate with the Ministry of Home Affairs to be responsible for guiding the implementation of this Decision.

Article 5. Various The Minister, Heads of Ministries equivalent to Ministries, Heads of agencies under the Government, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally governed cities are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
