PRIME MINISTER
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Based on the Investment Law dated November 29, 2005;
Pursuant to Decree No. 29/2008/NĐ-CP dated March 14, 2008 of the Government on Industrial Zones, Export Processing Zones, and Economic Zones;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Planning and Investment and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An Province,
DECISION:

Article 1. Establishment of the Long An Border Economic Zone, Long An Province

The Long An Border Economic Zone, Long An Province, is a defined geographic area within the national territory and sovereignty, having a separate economic space.

The Long An Border Economic Zone includes the territories of seven communes and one town: Moc Hoa Town, Binh Hiep Commune, Binh Tan Commune, Ward 1 of Thanh Tri Commune, and Wards Binh Tay 1 and Binh Tay 2 of Binh Hoa Tay Commune (Moc Hoa District), Tuyen Binh Commune, Thai Binh Trung Commune, and Wards 1 and 2 of Vinh Binh Commune (Vinh Hung District). The natural area is 13,080 hectares. The geographic boundaries of the Long An Border Economic Zone are determined as follows:

- North bordering Svay Rieng Province, Cambodia;

- South bordering the Vam Co Tay River;

- East bordering Thanh Tri Commune and Binh Hoa Tay Commune, Moc Hoa District;

- West bordering Vinh Hung Town and Thai Tri Commune, Vinh Hung District.

Article 2. Activities and mechanisms, policies for the Long An Border Economic Zone, Long An Province shall be implemented in accordance with the Investment Law and guiding documents for the Implementation of the Investment Law, Decree No. 29/2008/NĐ-CP dated March 14, 2008 of the Government on Industrial Zones, Export Processing Zones, and Economic Zones, Decision No. 33/2009/QĐ-TTg dated March 2, 2009 of the Prime Minister promulgating financial mechanisms and policies for Border Economic Zones, and other related laws.

Article 3. Implementation Provisions

1. This Decision takes effect from March 10, 2010.

2. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government, and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Long An Province are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
