REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE NATIONAL MANAGEMENT BOARD FOR THE GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT FACILITY OF VIETNAM

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

At the request of the Ministers of Science, Technology and Environment, Planning and Investment, Finance, Foreign Affairs, and the Chairman of the Government Office,

DECISION:

Article 1. Establish the National Management Board for the Global Environment Facility of Vietnam (abbreviated as GEF - Vietnam). The permanent office of GEF - Vietnam shall be located at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.

Article 2. The Chairman of GEF - Vietnam shall be the Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment.

Other members of GEF - Vietnam shall be representatives from the Government Office, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, and the Vietnam Association for Nature Conservation, appointed by the respective agencies, recognized by the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment.

Article 3. Entrust the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment to issue the Regulations on the organization and operation of GEF-Vietnam.

Article 4. This Decision takes effect from the date of signature.

Article 5. The Chairman of the Government Office, the Ministers of Science, Technology and Environment, Planning and Investment, Foreign Affairs, Finance, the Chairman and members of GEF - Vietnam are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
