PRODUCING OR TRADING ENTERPRISES WILL RECEIVE QUOTA AWARDS CORRESPONDING TO THE QUANTITY OF PRODUCTS EXPORTED.

Regarding the encouragement award for textile and garment export
As of October 1997, the export turnover only reached 7.1 billion USD (equivalent to nearly 80% of the annual plan). The export task for the last two months of the year remains very heavy. The export turnover of textile and garment products still holds a very important position in the structure of export goods of our country.In order to encourage enterprises that have actively expanded non-quota markets with high export values in the last two months of 1997, the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Industry have agreed to apply the quota bonus system as follows:
1. Criteria for award consideration:
a. For enterprises producing and exporting textile products:
Bonus level: Exporting five products to non-quota markets will be rewarded with a quota bonus of one product of the same type to be exported to the EU in 1998.
b. For enterprises trading in the export of textile products:
Bonus level: Exporting ten products to non-quota markets will be rewarded with a quota bonus of one product of the same type to be exported to the EU in 1998.
c. Time frame: Valid export documents of consignments exported to non-quota markets (B/L, invoices, customs declaration forms completed and signed within the period from November 1, 1997 to December 31, 1997) must be submitted to the Ministry of Trade before January 10, 1998 for award consideration.
The Joint Export Management Committee of the Ministries will base on the valid export files of enterprises to report to the leadership of the Ministry for approval to grant bonus quotas according to the above regulations.
Assign the Joint Management Committee of the Ministries to monitor implementation and submit a summary report to the Ministry's leadership on the results at the beginning of February 1998.
