Regarding the establishment of communes and towns in Dakrong district and Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province

THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
CONSIDERING THE PROPOSAL OF THE MINISTER OF INTERIOR AND THE CHAIRMAN OF THE PEOPLE'S COMMITTEE OF QUANG TRI PROVINCE,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now, the administrative boundaries are adjusted to establish communes and towns in Dakrong and Huong Hoa districts, Quang Tri province, as follows:
1. Establishing Krông Klang town - the district capital of Dakrong district based on 384.70 hectares of natural area and 1,616 population of Mo O commune; 1,436.30 hectares of natural area and 1,010 population of Huong Hiep commune.
Krông Klang town has 1,821 hectares of natural area and 2,626 population.
Administrative boundary of Krông Klang town: East borders Cam Lo district; West borders Mo O commune and Huong Hiep commune; South borders Mo O commune; North borders Huong Hiep commune and Cam Lo district.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Krông Klang town.
Mo O commune remains with 2,523.30 hectares of natural area and 1,546 population.
Huong Hiep commune remains with 14,224.60 hectares of natural area and 3,257 population.
2. Establishing Huong Viet commune in Huong Hoa district based on 6,520 hectares of natural area and 1,208 population of Huong Lap commune.
Administrative boundary of Huong Viet commune: East borders Huong Son commune; West borders the Lao People's Democratic Republic; South borders Huong Phung commune; North borders Huong Lap commune.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries to establish Huong Viet commune, Huong Lap commune remains with 15,537 hectares of natural area and 1,205 population.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
