WHEREAS, Decree No. 81/2002/ND-CP dated October 17, 2002 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Science and Technology;

Pursuant to Decree No. 28/2008/NĐ-CP dated March 14, 2008 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology;

WHEREAS, the guidance of the Prime Minister in Official Letter No. 4206/VPCP-KGVX dated June 26, 2008 regarding the implementation of urgent newly emerging scientific and technological tasks at local levels;

CONSIDERING the proposal of the Director of the Department of Planning and Finance, the Director of the Local Science and Technology Board, the Director of the Department of Science and Technology for Economic and Technical Sectors, and the Director of the Department of Social Sciences and Natural Sciences;

DECISION:

Article 1. ATTACHING HERETO Regulations on the Management of Urgent Newly Emerging Scientific and Technological Tasks at Local Levels.

Article 2. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF PUBLICATION IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE.

Article 3. THE DIRECTORS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND FINANCE, THE DIRECTOR OF THE LOCAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY BOARD, THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR ECONOMIC AND TECHNICAL SECTORS, THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND NATURAL SCIENCES, THE HEADS OF UNITS UNDER THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, AND THE HEADS OF UNITS AND INDIVIDUALS RELATED TO THESE MATTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTING THIS DECISION./.
