Issuing the List of Diseases, Disabilities, Deformities, and Abnormalities Related to Exposure to Chemical Warfare Agents/Dioxin

THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

Pursuant to Decree No. 188/2007/NĐ-CP dated December 27, 2007 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Health;

Pursuant to Notification No. 196/TB-VPCP dated October 9, 2007, of the Government Office regarding the Prime Minister’s assignment to the Ministry of Health to issue criteria (amended) for identifying victims of chemical warfare agents/dioxin;

Pursuant to the Minutes of the Meeting on January 31, 2008, of the Scientific Council for Reviewing the List of Diseases, Disabilities, Deformities, and Abnormalities to Determine Affected Individuals by Chemical Warfare Agents/Dioxin, established pursuant to Decision No. 301/QĐ-BYT dated January 25, 2008, of the Minister of Health;

At the proposal of the Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment and the Director of the Department of Science and Training - Ministry of Health,

DECISION:

Article 1. Issuing the List of Diseases, Disabilities, Deformities, and Abnormalities Related to Exposure to Chemical Warfare Agents/Dioxin, including:

1. Soft Tissue Sarcoma

2. Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

3. Hodgkin's Disease

4. Lung and Bronchus Cancer

5. Trachea Cancer

6. Larynx Cancer

7. Prostate Cancer

8. Primary Liver Cancers

9. Kahler's Disease (Malignant Multiple Myeloma)

10. Acute and Subacute Peripheral Neuropathy

11. Spina Bifida

12. Chloracne

13. Type 2 Diabetes

14. Porphyria Cutanea Tarda

15. Unusual Births

16. Congenital Deformities and Abnormalities (for children of individuals exposed to chemical warfare agents/dioxin)

17. Mental Disorders

Article 2. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.

Article 3. The Heads of the Ministry's Office, Inspectorate, Departments, and Directors of affiliated units of the Ministry of Health; Directors of Provincial Health Services under central cities and heads of health sectors and related units are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
