CIRCULAR
Issuing titles and codes for medical technical staff categories

Pursuant to Decree No. 48/2008/NĐ-CP dated April 17, 2008 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Home Affairs;
Based on the proposal of the Minister of Health in Circular No. 5775/BYT-TCCB dated August 25, 2009 regarding the issuance of titles and codes for medical technical staff categories;
The Ministry of Home Affairs issues titles and codes for medical technical staff categories, specifically as follows:
Article 1. Issuing titles and codes for medical technical staff categories, including:
1. Senior Medical Technical Officer – Code: 16.284
2. Medical Technical Officer – Code: 16.285
3. College-level Medical Technical Officer – Code: 16.286
4. Intermediate-level Medical Technical Officer – Code: 16.287
5. Basic-level Medical Technical Officer – Code: 16.288
Article 2. The titles and codes for medical technical staff categories prescribed in this Circular shall serve as the basis for the Ministry of Health to issue vocational standards for medical technical staff categories.
Article 3. This Circular takes effect 45 days from the date of issuance.
Article 4. Repealing the provisions on titles and codes for medical technical staff categories stipulated in Decision No. 78/2004/QĐ-BNV dated November 3, 2004 of the Minister of Home Affairs on issuing the list of civil servant categories and medical technical staff categories, including:
1. Senior-level Medical Technical Officer – Code: 16.126
2. Principal Medical Technical Officer – Code: 16.127
3. Medical Technical Officer – Code: 16.128
Article 5. Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairpersons of provincial People's Committees under central cities are responsible for implementing the provisions of this Circular./.
