DIRECTIVE

OF THE MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION NUMBER 1/VVT JANUARY 4, 1983
REGARDING THE SUPPLEMENTATION OF PRIORITY PASSENGER TICKET PURCHASE FOR CERTAIN GROUPS.

Pursuant to the Law on Military Service promulgated on January 10, 1982, Article 53, Point 4 stipulates:

Professional military personnel, non-commissioned officers, and conscripts on active duty shall be given priority in purchasing tickets for travel on public transportation.

At the proposal of the Minister of National Defense in Document No. 1744-QP dated November 13, 1982, with the aim of ensuring combat readiness, maintaining military discipline, and facilitating the movement of military personnel.

The Minister of Transportation hereby instructs:

Departments of transport and Transport Services Offices shall direct transport units, railway stations, bus terminals, and ferry piers to give priority ticket sales to the following military personnel:

1. New recruits and those being discharged from service.

2. Personnel on official business.

3. Those holding hospital admission and discharge certificates, convalescent care certificates, rehabilitation certificates, etc.

4. Personnel on leave.

Military personnel must present identification when purchasing tickets:

- For official business and leave: issued by battalion-level units or higher.

- Discharge papers and call-up orders (At locations where separate ticket counters are available for this group).

If traveling in groups of twenty or more, military units should coordinate in advance with station, port, and terminal staff to ensure proper arrangements.

This directive takes effect upon issuance.
