THE MINISTER OF HEALTH

On the basis of Decree No. 49/2003/NĐ-CP dated May 15, 2003 of the Government on the Provision of Functions, Tasks, Authorities, and Organizational Structure of the Ministry of Health;

On the basis of Ordinance No. 12/2003/PL-UBTVQH dated July 26, 2003 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Decree No. 163/2004/NĐ-CP dated September 7, 2004 of the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Food Safety Ordinance;

On the basis of Ordinance No. 18/1999/PL-UBTVQH dated December 24, 1999 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Decree No. 179/2004/NĐ-CP dated October 21, 2004 of the Government on State Management of Product Quality;

On the basis of the Minutes of the Regular Technical Evaluation Meeting to Determine 1,3-Dichloropropane-2-Ol (1,3-DCP) in Food and Regular Technical Procedures for Determining 3-Monochloropropane-1,2-Diol (3-MCPD) in Food held on June 30, 2004;

Pursuant to the proposal of the Director of the Department of Science and Training, the Director of the Department of Legal Affairs - Ministry of Health, and the Director of the Food Safety Agency;

DECISION:

Article 1. Issued together with this Decision is the Medical Industry Standard 52 TCN-TQTP 0010:2005 - Regular Technical Procedures for Determining 3-Monochloropropan-1,2-Diol (3-MCPD) in Certain Types of Condiment Sauces.

Article 2. The Standard Measurement Quality Control Department shall be responsible for organizing and guiding the implementation of the Regulations adopted herein.

Article 3. The Officials: Head of the Office, Inspector General of the Ministry of Health, Directors of the Departments of Science and Training, Legal Affairs - Ministry of Health, Director of the Food Safety Agency, Directors of Health Services of the provinces and centrally governed cities, and Heads of units under the Ministry of Health are responsible for implementing this Decision./.
