Issuing the Framework Curriculum for Higher Education in the Security Science Field at the University Level

THE MINISTER OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Pursuant to the Education Law dated June 14, 2005;

Pursuant to Decree No. 86/2002/NĐ-CP dated November 5, 2002 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to Decree No. 85/2003/NĐ-CP dated July 18, 2003 of the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of ministries and ministerial-level agencies;

Pursuant to the results of the review by the Advisory Council for the Development of the Framework Curriculum for Higher Education in the Security Science Field on November 15, 2005;

Considering the proposal of the Director of the Department of Universities and Graduate Studies;

Pursuant to …;

Article 1. Attached hereto with this Decision is the Framework Curriculum for Higher Education comprising eight framework curricula for the following eight fields:

1. Criminal Investigation field, university level;

2. Forensic Technology field, university level;

3. Security Intelligence Investigation field, university level;

4. Police Intelligence Investigation field, university level;

5. Management, Education, and Rehabilitation of Convicts field, university level;

6. Administrative Management of Social Order field, university level;

7. Fire Prevention and Control field, university level.

8. Security Intelligence field, university level.

Article 2. This Decision shall take effect fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The Framework Curriculum issued pursuant to this Decision shall be applied in universities, academies, and university-level institutions that have the responsibility to train the eight named fields at the university level as specified in Article 1.

Article 3. The Director of the Department of Universities and Graduate Studies shall be responsible for guiding the rectors of universities and academies and the presidents of university-level institutions to develop specific school curricula, organize the compilation and approval of common textbooks in accordance with regulations.

Article 4. The Head of the Office, the Director of the Department of Universities and Graduate Studies, the heads of relevant units under the Ministry of Education and Training, the rectors of universities and academies, and the presidents of university-level institutions shall be responsible for implementing this Decision.
