CIRCULAR

Issuing "National Technical Regulations on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)"

Pursuant to the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations dated June 29, 2006;

Based on Decree No. 132/2008/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2008 of the Government detailing implementation of certain provisions

Pursuant to Decree No. 28/2008/NĐ-CP dated March 14, 2008, promulgated by the Government stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Science and Technology;

Considering the proposal of the Director General of the Standardization, Measurement, and Quality Control Department,

The Minister of Science and Technology issues National Technical Regulations on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Article 1. Attached to this Circular are the National Technical Regulations on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) (QCVN 8:2012/BKHCN).

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from June 1, 2012.

Article 3. As of June 1, 2013, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) shall only be permitted to circulate in the market after being certified and announced as compliant with QCVN 8:2012/BKHCN.

Article 4. From the date this Circular takes effect until the time specified in Article 3 of this Circular, entities, organizations, and individuals involved in importing, producing, processing, blending, distributing, and retailing Liquefied Petroleum Gas must prepare necessary conditions to implement the provisions of these national technical regulations.

Article 5. The Director of the General Department of Standardization, Metrology and Quality, heads of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals responsible for implementing this Circular shall bear responsibility for its enforcement.

DURING THE IMPLEMENTATION, IF THERE ARE ANY DIFFICULTIES, ORGANIZATIONS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND INDIVIDUALS SHOULD PROMPTLY REPORT TO THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY FOR STUDY AND AMENDMENT./.
