Issuing the List of Toponyms for Population, Landforms, Hydrography,
Economy-Society Serving the Work of Compiling Maps of Hung Yen Province

Pursuant to the Law on Surveying and Mapping dated June 14, 2018;

Pursuant to Decree No. 36/2017/NĐ-CP dated April 4, 2017 of the Government on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment;

At the request of the Director General of the Vietnam National Survey and Mapping Center and the Head of the Legal Department,

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment issues this Circular on issuing the List of Toponyms for Population, Landforms, Hydrography, Economy-Society Serving the Work of Compiling Maps of Hung Yen Province.

Clause 4 of Article 6Attached to this Circular is the List of Toponyms for Population, Landforms, Hydrography, Economy-Society Serving the Work of Compiling Maps of Hung Yen Province.

12/2025/TT-BNNMT dated June 19, 2025 issued by the Minister of Agriculture and EnvironmentThis Circular takes effect from August 23, 2019.

Part I

GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The List of Toponyms for Population, Landforms, Hydrography, Economy-Society Serving the Work of Compiling Maps of Hung Yen Province is standardized from toponyms on the national topographic map at a scale of 1:25,000 in the VN-2000 coordinate system within the territory of Hung Yen Province.

2. The List of Toponyms for Population, Landforms, Hydrography, Economy-Society Serving the Work of Compiling Maps of Hung Yen Province is arranged alphabetically according to the names of administrative units at the district level including cities, towns, and districts, wherein:

a) The column "Toponym" includes standardized toponyms. Alternative names of toponyms or notes to distinguish toponyms with the same name within an administrative unit at the commune level are shown in parentheses.

b) The column "Group of Objects" includes symbols representing groups of toponyms, wherein: DC stands for population toponyms; SV stands for landform toponyms; TV stands for hydrographic toponyms; KX stands for economy-society toponyms.

c) The column "Name of Administrative Unit at Commune Level" includes the names of administrative units at the commune level, wherein: P. is an abbreviation for "ward"; TT. is an abbreviation for "town".

d) The column "Name of Administrative Unit at District Level" includes the names of administrative units at the district level, wherein: TP. is an abbreviation for "city"; TX. is an abbreviation for "township".

e) The column "Relative Coordinates of Object" includes relative coordinates of the corresponding geographic object in the "Toponym" column. If the geographic object is represented on the map by a point symbol or area symbol, the corresponding coordinate value is shown in the "Central Coordinate" column. If the geographic object is represented on the map by a line symbol, the corresponding coordinate values are shown in the columns "Starting Coordinate" and "Ending Coordinate".

f) The "Topographic Map Sheet Code" column contains the code of the national topographic map at a scale of 1:25,000 containing the standardized place name in the "Place Name" column.

Part II

LIST OF POPULATION TOPONYMS, LANDFORMS, HYDROGRAPHY,

ECONOMY-SOCIETY SERVING THE WORK OF COMPILING MAPS

OF HUNG YEN PROVINCE

Article 1. The List of Place Names, Topographic, Hydrographic, and Socio-Economic Features for the Purpose of Establishing the Province of Hung Yen Map is hereby promulgated together with this Circular.

Article 2. This Circular takes effect from August 23, 2019.

Article 3. Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government, People's Committees of provinces and centrally-administered cities, and related organizations and individuals are responsible for implementing this Circular.
