Regarding the dissolution of communes, adjustment of commune administrative boundaries, and establishment of new communes under Quynh Nhai District, Son La Province

Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La Province,
RESOLUTION:
Article 1. Dissolve communes, adjust commune administrative boundaries, and establish new communes under Quynh Nhai District, Son La Province as follows:
1. Dissolve Liep Mue commune under Quynh Nhai District. The natural area and population of Liep Mue commune will be adjusted as follows:
- Transfer 872.25 hectares of natural area and 919 people from Liep Mue commune to Chieng Bang commune for management.
- Transfer 1,212.75 hectares of natural area and the remaining 1,238 people to Nam Et commune for management.
After dissolving Liep Mue commune and adjusting its administrative boundaries, the natural area and population will be as follows:
- Chieng Bang commune has 3,794.25 hectares of natural area and 3,075 people.
- Nam Et commune has 7,110.75 hectares of natural area and 4,110 people.
Administrative boundary of Nam Et commune: East borders Chieng On commune, Quynh Nhai District and Nam Gon commune, Muong La District; West borders Chieng Khoan commune, Chieng Bang commune, Quynh Nhai District; South borders Chieng Nam commune, Thuan Chau District; North borders Muong Sai commune, Quynh Nhai District.
2. Adjust administrative boundaries of communes under Quynh Nhai District as follows:
a) Transfer 613.8 hectares of natural area and 1,494 people from Muong Sai commune to Chieng Bang commune for management.
Chieng Bang commune has 4,408.05 hectares of natural area and 4,569 people.
Administrative boundary of Chieng Bang commune: East borders Muong Sai commune, Quynh Nhai District; West borders Muong Giang commune, Quynh Nhai District and Phong Lai commune, Thuan Chau District; South borders Chieng Khoang commune, Quynh Nhai District; North borders Chieng On commune, Quynh Nhai District.
After adjusting administrative boundaries:
Muong Sai commune remains with 5,450.2 hectares of natural area and 3,541 people.
Administrative boundary of Muong Sai commune: East borders Chieng On commune; West borders Chieng Bang commune; South borders Nam Et commune; North borders Chieng On commune and Chieng Bang commune, Quynh Nhai District.
b) Transfer 957.4 hectares of natural area and 375 people from Chieng On commune to Muong Giang commune for management.
- Muong Giang commune has 6,432.4 hectares of natural area and 9,781 people.
Administrative boundary of Muong Giang commune: East borders Chieng Bang commune, Chieng On commune, Quynh Nhai District; West borders Tuong Giao District, Dien Bien Province; South borders Phong Lai commune, Thuan Chau District; North borders Chieng On commune, Quynh Nhai District.
- After adjusting administrative boundaries:
Chieng On commune remains with 9,944.6 hectares of natural area and 3,063 people.

Establish Pa Ma Pha Khinh commune based on merging the entire 4,948 hectares of natural area and 1,629 people from Pha Khinh commune and 5,544 hectares of natural area and 1,453 people from Pac Ma commune.
Pa Ma Pha Khinh commune has 10,492 hectares of natural area and 3,082 people.
Administrative boundary of Pa Ma Pha Khinh commune: East borders Muong Gon commune, Quynh Nhai District, Son La Province; West borders Ta Man commune, Nam Din commune, Tuong Giao District, Dien Bien Province; South borders Chieng On commune, Quynh Nhai District; North borders Muong Chien commune, Quynh Nhai District, Son La Province.
After dissolving communes, adjusting administrative boundaries, and establishing new communes, Quynh Nhai District has 106,090 hectares of natural area and 58,300 people, remaining with 11 administrative units directly under it, including communes: Muong Gon, Chieng Khay, Nam Et, Chieng Khoang, Chieng Bang, Muong Giang, Ca Nang, Muong Chien, Chieng On, Muong Sai, and Pa Ma Pha Khinh.
Article 2. This Resolution takes effect from the date of its promulgation.
Article 3. The Minister of Interior, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La Province, and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Resolution.
