Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Based on the Law on Competition and Rewards dated November 26, 2003;
Based on Decision No. 773/QĐ-TTg dated August 9, 2005 of the Prime Minister regarding the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Award and State Award for Literature and Art in 2005 and Decision No. 774/QĐ-TTg dated August 9, 2005 of the Prime Minister regarding the establishment of the Central Council for Bestowing the Title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist in 2005.
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Culture and Information in the report No. 81/TTr-BVHTT dated July 18, 2006,

Article 1. Appoint Mr. Le Doan Hop, Minister of Culture and Information, to serve as the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh Award and State Award for Literature and Art in 2005 and the Chairman of the Central Council for Bestowing the Title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist in 2005, replacing Mr. Pham Quang Nghi.
Article 2. This Decision shall take effect from the date of signing.
Article 3. The Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, Chairmen of provincial and municipal People's Committees under central jurisdiction, Chairmen of the Ho Chi Minh Award and State Award for Literature and Art in 2005, and Chairmen of the Central Council for Bestowing the Title of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist in 2005 are responsible for implementing this Decision.
