DECREE
Regarding the establishment of wards and communes under Thanh Khe District and Hoa Vang District;
the establishment of Cam Le District, Da Nang City
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Da Nang City,
DECREE:
Article 1. Adjusting administrative boundaries, establishing wards and communes under Thanh Khe District and Hoa Vang District; establishing Cam Le District, Da Nang City as follows:
1. Adjusting 19.20 hectares of natural area and 2,815 population of An Khe Ward under Thanh Khe District to be managed by Thanh Loc Dan Ward.
2. Adjusting 32 hectares of natural area and 5,742 population of Thanh Loc Dan Ward under Thanh Khe District to be managed by An Khe Ward.
3. Establishing Hoa Khe Ward under Thanh Khe District based on 161.80 hectares of natural area and 14,454 population of An Khe Ward.
Hoa Khe Ward has 161.80 hectares of natural area and 14,454 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa Khe Ward: East borders Hai Chau District; West borders An Khe Ward; South borders An Khe Ward and Hai Chau District; North borders Thanh Khe Dong and Chinh Gian Wards.
After adjusting administrative boundaries and establishing Hoa Khe Ward, An Khe Ward remains with 213 hectares of natural area and 19,415 population.
4. Dividing Thanh Loc Dan Ward under Thanh Khe District into Thanh Khe Dong and Thanh Khe Tay Wards.
- Thanh Khe Dong Ward has 82.40 hectares of natural area and 12,754 population.
Administrative boundary of Thanh Khe Dong Ward: East borders Chinh Gian Ward; West borders Thanh Khe Tay Ward; South borders An Khe and Hoa Khe Wards; North borders Xuan Ha Ward and the East Sea.
- Thanh Khe Tay Ward has 121.80 hectares of natural area and 11,941 population.
Administrative boundary of Thanh Khe Tay Ward: East borders Thanh Khe Dong Ward; West borders Lien Chieu District; South borders An Khe Ward and Hoa Vang District; North borders the East Sea.
5. Establishing Hoa An Commune under Hoa Vang District based on 381.66 hectares of natural area and 12,890 population of Hoa Phat Commune.
Hoa An Commune has 381.66 hectares of natural area and 12,890 population.
After adjusting administrative boundaries and establishing Hoa An Commune, Hoa Phat Commune remains with 538.34 hectares of natural area and 9,261 population.
6. Dividing Hoa Tho Commune under Hoa Vang District into Hoa Tho Dong and Hoa Tho Tay Communes.
- Hoa Tho Dong Commune has 234.84 hectares of natural area and 11,151 population.
- Hoa Tho Tay Commune has 871.16 hectares of natural area and 8,758 population.
7. Establishing Cam Le District based on the entire natural area and population of Hoa Tho Dong, Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Phat, Hoa An, and Hoa Xuan Communes under Hoa Vang District, and the entire natural area and population of Khuê Trung Ward under Hai Chau District.
Cam Le District has 3,330 hectares of natural area and 71,429 population.
Administrative boundary of Cam Le District: East borders Ngũ Hành Sơn District; West and South border Hoa Vang District; North borders Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe, and Hai Chau Districts.
8. Establishing Wards under Cam Le District:
a) Establishing Hoa Tho Dong Ward based on the entire natural area and population of Hoa Tho Dong Commune.
Hoa Tho Dong Ward has 234.84 hectares of natural area and 11,151 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa Tho Dong Ward: East borders Khuê Trung Ward; West borders Hoa Tho Tay Ward; South borders Hoa Vang District; North borders Hoa Phat Ward and Hai Chau District.
b) Establishing Hoa Tho Tay Ward based on the entire natural area and population of Hoa Tho Tay Commune.
Hoa Tho Tay Ward has 871.16 hectares of natural area and 8,758 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa Tho Tay Ward: East borders Hoa Tho Dong Ward; West and South border Hoa Vang District; North borders Hoa Phat Ward.
c) Establishing Hoa An Ward based on the entire natural area and population of Hoa An Commune.
Hoa An Ward has 381.66 hectares of natural area and 12,890 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa An Ward: East borders Thanh Khe District; West borders Lien Chieu District; South borders Hoa Phat Ward; North borders Lien Chieu and Thanh Khe Districts.
d) Establishing Hoa Phat Ward based on the entire natural area and population of Hoa Phat Commune.
Hoa Phat Ward has 538.34 hectares of natural area and 9,261 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa Phat Ward: East borders Thanh Khe District; West borders Hoa Vang District; South borders Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Tho Dong Wards and Hai Chau District; North borders Hoa An Ward.
đ) Establishing Hoa Xuan Ward based on the entire natural area and population of Hoa Xuan Commune.
Hoa Xuan Ward has 990 hectares of natural area and 12,605 population.
Administrative boundary of Hoa Xuan Ward: East borders Ngũ Hành Sơn District; West borders Hoa Vang District; South borders Ngũ Hành Sơn District and Hoa Vang District; North borders Hai Chau District.
After establishing Wards under Cam Le District:
- Cam Le District has 3,330 hectares of natural area and 71,429 population, with 6 subordinate administrative units including Khuê Trung, Hoa Tho Dong, Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa An, Hoa Phat, and Hoa Xuan Wards.
- Hoa Vang District remains with 70,733 hectares of natural area and 106,746 population, with 11 subordinate administrative units including Hoa Tien, Hoa Chau, Hoa Phuoc, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Phong, Hoa Phu, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Lien, Hoa Son, and Hoa Bac Communes.
- Hai Chau District remains with 2,059 hectares of natural area and 198,829 population, with 13 subordinate administrative units including Hoa Cuong Nam, Hoa Cuong Bac, Hoa Thuan Dong, Hoa Thuan Tay, Binh Thuan, Binh Hien, Nam Duong, Phuoc Ninh, Hai Chau 1, Hai Chau 2, Thach Thang, Thanh Binh, and Thuan Phuoc Wards.
After establishing Cam Le District, Da Nang City has 8 subordinate administrative units including Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe, Hai Chau, Son Tra, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Cam Le Districts, and Hoa Vang, Hoang Sa Districts.
Article 2. This Decree takes effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous regulations contrary to this Decree are abolished.
Article 3. The People's Committee of Da Nang City, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of related agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
