DECREE

Dividing Ayun Pa District into Ia Pa and Ayun Pa Districts, Gia Lai Province

THE GOVERNMENT

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law on December 25, 2001;

Considering the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai Province and the Minister of Home Affairs.

DECREE:

Article 1. Now, Ayun Pa District of Gia Lai Province shall be divided into Ia Pa and Ayun Pa Districts as follows:

Establishing Ia Pa District based on 87,088 hectares of natural area and 41,484 population from Ayun Pa District.

Ia Pa District has 87,088 hectares of natural area and 41,484 population, with 9 administrative units directly under it, including communes: Pờ Tó, Chư Răng, Kim Tân, Ia Tul, Ia Broăi, Ia KDăm, Chư Mố, Ia Trok, and Ia Mrơn.

Administrative boundaries of Ia Pa District: East borders Kông Chro District and Phú Yên Province; West borders Ayun Pa District; South borders Krông Pa and Ayun Pa Districts; North borders Kông Chro and Mang Yang Districts.

After adjusting administrative boundaries to establish Ia Pa District, Ayun Pa District will retain 78,891.5 hectares of natural area and 87,648 population, with 12 administrative units directly under it, including communes Chư A Thai, Ia Ke, Ia Sol, Ia Piar, Ia Peng, Ia Hiao, Ia Rbol, Ia Yeng, Ia Rtô, Ia Sao, and townships Ayun Pa, Phú Thiện.

Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lam Dong Province, the Minister of Home Affairs, and the Heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree./.
