DECREE
Regarding the adjustment of administrative boundaries, establishment of wards and communes under Ha Giang City and Meo Vac District, Ha Giang Province
THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to the Law on Organization of the Government dated December 25, 2001;
Considering the proposal of the Minister of Interior and the People's Committee of Ha Giang Province,
DECREE:
Article 1. The administrative boundaries shall be adjusted, and wards and communes established under Ha Giang City and Meo Vac District, Ha Giang Province as follows:
1. Establishing Ward Ngoc Ha under Ha Giang City based on 120.90 hectares of natural area and 2,399 population from Commune Ngoc Duong, and 117.20 hectares of natural area and 628 population from Ward Tran Phu.
Ward Ngoc Ha has 238.10 hectares of natural area and 3,027 population.
Administrative boundary of Ward Ngoc Ha: East borders Commune Ngoc Duong; West borders Wards Tran Phu and Minh Khai; South borders Commune Ngoc Duong; North borders Ward Quang Trung and Commune Ngoc Duong.
2. Adjusting 23 hectares of natural area and 90 population from Commune Ngoc Duong under Ha Giang City to be managed by Ward Quang Trung.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries and establishing Ward Ngoc Ha:
- Commune Ngoc Duong retains 3,168.10 hectares of natural area and 3,130 population.
- Ward Tran Phu retains 244.80 hectares of natural area and 6,462 population.
- Ward Quang Trung has 1,132 hectares of natural area and 3,623 population.
3. Establishing Commune Nien Tong under Meo Vac District based on 2,013.75 hectares of natural area and 2,276 population from Commune Nien Son, and 1,137.50 hectares of natural area and 1,380 population from Commune Khu Va.
Commune Nien Tong has 3,151.25 hectares of natural area and 3,656 population.
Administrative boundary of Commune Nien Tong: East borders Cao Bang Province; West borders Commune Nien Son; South borders Cao Bang Province; North borders Communes Khu Va and Nien Son.
After adjusting the administrative boundaries and establishing Commune Nien Tong:
- Commune Nien Son retains 5,371.25 hectares of natural area and 3,716 population.
- Commune Khu Va retains 3,017.50 hectares of natural area and 4,588 population.
Article 2. This Decree shall take effect fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette. All previous provisions contrary to this Decree are hereby abolished.
Article 3. The People's Committee of Ha Giang Province, the Minister of Interior, and heads of relevant agencies are responsible for implementing this Decree.
