DECISION

Regarding the establishment of the Agent Orange Victims Support Fund by the Vietnam Red Cross Society caused by the war in Vietnam

 

PRIME MINISTER

Pursuant to the Government Organization Law dated September 30, 1992;

At the request of the Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Minister, Head of the Government Organization and Cadre Affairs Department,

DECISION:

Article 1. The Vietnam Red Cross Society is hereby permitted to establish the "Agent Orange Victims Support Fund" (hereinafter referred to as the Agent Orange Victims Support Fund) with the aim of mobilizing domestic and international humanitarian aid resources to assist those affected by Agent Orange during the war in Vietnam.

Article 2. The Agent Orange Victims Support Fund operates under the direction of the Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and receives partial funding for its operations and a necessary number of staff from the State.

The Minister of Finance is tasked with uniformly determining the level of this support in each period.

Article 3. The Minister, Head of the Government Organization and Cadre Affairs Department is instructed to approve the organizational and operational regulations of the Fund after consulting relevant ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and government-affiliated agencies.

Article 4. THIS DECISION SHALL TAKE EFFECT 15 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF SIGNATURE.

Article 5. The Chairman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Minister, Head of the Government Organization and Cadre Affairs Department, and the Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of government-affiliated agencies, and Chairmen of all levels of People's Committees related to this matter are responsible for implementing this Decision.
