ISSUED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM

Pursuant to Decree-Law No. 246-SL dated October 14, 1948, which established monthly allowances for Ministers and Deputy Ministers,
In response to the proposals of the Ministers of Interior Affairs and Finance,
Following the resolution of the Council of Ministers after consultation with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly,
ISSUES THE FOLLOWING DECREE-LAW:
Article 1- The above-mentioned Decree-Law No. 246-SL dated October 14, 1948 is hereby repealed.
Article 2- Monthly allowances for members of the Government, effective from August 1, 1949, are established as follows:
President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam: 2,000đ
Chairman of the Government...1,700đ
Deputy Prime Minister...1,600đ
Minister and Chief Commander of the National Army and People's Militia of Vietnam...1,500đ
Deputy Minister...1,400đ
Article 3- Those who have a family are entitled to monthly allowances as follows:
Half allowance:
- Having a wife
- Having a wife and one to three children
- Having one to three children
Three-quarters allowance:
- Having four to six children
Equal to the allowance:
- Having seven or more children
Article 4- The Ministers of Interior and Finance shall implement this Decree-Law accordingly.
