THE GOVERNMENT
Pursuant to Article 9, Article 10, and Article 11 of the Law on the Election of People's Council Deputies (amended) adopted by the National Assembly on June 21, 1994;
At the proposal of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lai Chau Province in Proposal No. 343/TT-UB dated August 31, 1999, and the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government in Proposal No. 217/TTr-BTCCBCP dated September 9, 1999,
DECREE:
Article 1. Now approves the number of 49 (forty-nine) deputies of the Provincial People's Council of Lai Chau for the 1999-2004 term, 19 (nineteen) electoral units, and the number of deputies elected from each electoral unit for the Provincial People's Council (attached list).
Article 2. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Lai Chau Province; the Minister, Head of the Organization-Cadre Department of the Government, and the Minister, Director of the Government Office shall be responsible for implementing this Decree.
